Never been on a ride before? No problem! We specialize in beginners. We will teach you everything you need to know on the ground before we put you on a horse to make you feel as confident and safe as possible.

More than two-thirds of our students come to us as beginners, and we love that. That way we can turn you into the polo superstars you can be!

Our polo ponies are impeccably trained and extremely docile. They know their job and do it well. They have an innate ability to recognize when they have a newcomer on their back and take great care of them. And often they know where the ball is better than our newbies!

Don’t worry if you have never even touched a horse before. We will teach you front to back and hoof to head skills, as well as many other valuable basic horse skills before we start working on your polo skills. We promise that by the end of your first day, you will be confidently sitting on a horse with a hammer in hand.

All of our coaches are experienced polo players and are also members of the USPA. We pride ourselves on providing our students with high quality instruction with a focus on player development.

Polo is considered one of the oldest team sports in the world. The roots of this exciting sport can be traced back to ancient Persia. First described around 600 BC, this fast-paced game quickly spread across the Asian continent. In colonial times, the British adopted polo in India, and in 1871 it was finally brought to England. There, a comprehensive system of rules and regulations was provided (the governing body was formulated in 1889 by the Herlingham Polo Committee), on which modern European rules are based. Many people don’t know that polo has been an Olympic sport five times and really gained attention at the 1936 Olympic Games in Germany. There are now attempts to reinstate polo as an Olympic sport.
